Sticky blocks are blocks which you, as an administrator, can set to always appear on course pages and/or on users' [[My Moodle]] pages.

Sticky blocks force one or more blocks to always appear on a site-wide basis. There is an option to determine blocks that will appear on all course homepages or all [[My Moodle]] student homepages.

If the administrator adds a block which is already present in a particular course or one inserted by a student on their My Moodle page then a duplicate block will appear. The sticky block will be non-editable whilst the duplicate will be editable by the student.
To configure sticky blocks:
#Access ''Administration > Appearance > Sticky blocks''.
#Choose whether to configure My Moodle or course pages.
#Select the required blocks from the "Add a block" dropdown menu. Configure each block as desired.
#Reposition blocks using the arrow icons in the block headers.
